IT Solutions for the Food Industry

 

distrib-u-tec is a line of software products developed by InterSect Business Systems Inc., a specialized software company based out of beautiful Kelowna, in British Columbia. It services North American based food distributors/manufacturers. InterSect was founded by husband and wife duo Dietz and June Nicolay. With a broad sense of industry and business experience, Dietz and June built distrib-u-tec understanding the need to maintain no-nonsense and cost-effective information management systems, which provide actual benefits and add true value to your business. With over two decades of diverse custom software design and implementation experience, they built and implemented over eighty unique integrated operational and accounting systems for industry. In 1995, they sold their Alberta-based custom software business and moved to Kelowna. In 1996 InterSect was incorporated and a dedicated focus on developing a line of exceptional industry specific software for the food industry was undertaken. 

 

June is InterSect’s “hands on” owner and continues to oversee the day to day operations of the company.

distrib-u-tec was initially developed in concert with six food distributors and packers. This joint initiative was based upon a desire for a comprehensive Windows based solution with the depth and Industry features previously only available in large UNIX or AS400 environments.These corporations acted as industry consultants and software Beta sites, over the course of three years between 1996 and 1999. All of the original Beta sites remain distrib-u-tec clients today.
